Aleah Chapin

The work of Aleah Chapin is shown courtesy of Aleah Chapin and Flowers Gallery, London

Aleah Chapin’s series of monumentally-scaled nudes explores representations of identity through the physical manifestations of gender and the ageing of the body.

Winning the BP Portrait Award at the National Portrait Gallery in London in 2012, she has been described as "the best and most disturbing painter of flesh alive today... [her] paintings have to be seen as heroic and radical".
